Canvas Training Services

Admins, instructors, designers, leadership, support staff, and any member of your faculty or institutional staff can benefit from Canvas Training.

Canvas Training Services are fully customizable, and our team will work with you to craft the best training program to meet the unique needs of your institution.

If you are new to Canvas, your implementation package contains training. Please reference your Implementation Package for specific details or reference the guides included in this resource.

Custom Training

Custom Training

Custom Training puts your faculty in the virtual hands of an experienced Canvas Trainer. Custom Training is live, Educator to Educator, where your faculty get a chance to implement new skills in their Canvas courses and ask follow up questions. Sessions are delivered in a Zoom room and are recorded, allowing educators to return to the instruction and review what they've learned.

Note: Sessions are limited to 50 participants in order to facilitate instructional best practices and provide the best learning environment for every participant.

- If a training goal is not represented on any of these sample agenda ideas, please discuss it with your assigned Canvas Trainer!
Step 4: Schedule Training with Canvas
- Our trainings are interactive. We ask that the training date be held after you have added your users to your instance, given them sandbox (practice courses), and enabled the essential LTI tools/apps your faculty will need.

Custom Onsite Training

Custom Onsite Training

Due to current COVID-19 safety protocols, any onsite trainings purchased are being delivered remotely. An onsite day may be exchanged for:

30 minute scoping/planning session with the trainer and either:
- Six hours of training delivered on one day with up to a 1 hr break
- Two, 3 hr sessions delivered on separate days

Onsite Training is the Premier Training offered by the Training Services Team. Custom Onsite Training puts the experienced Canvas Trainer on your campus, in the room with your faculty. Your faculty engage with Canvas with an expert close at hand to support their questions and engage, personally.

Webinar (Subscription) Training

Webinar Training is an excellent way to provide comprehensive training for your faculty. Webinars are offered in live, 60 minute sessions, led virtually over Zoom. These sessions are NOT recorded but can be repeated by any participant.

On Demand Training

On Demand (Subscription) Training

OnDemand Subscription Training is training for your faculty exactly when they need it. Educators are busy but also want to provide the best learning environment for their students. OnDemand training gives educators access to quality training and allows them to fit it into their busy schedules. OnDemand training can be accessed at any time. While OnDemand training is not live, the courses can be repeated.

OnDemand courses and Learning Pathways offer Badges and Completion Certificates. Institutional Administrators can also see where their faculty are participating in the OnDemand portal in an Admin Dashboard.
